MORE THAN A GAME.

It all started in 2022. Three friends decided to try airsoft for the first time, with no real idea of what to expect. Until then, tactical movement, team communication and fast-paced engagements were something we had mostly experienced through games like CS:GO. The first time we stepped onto an actual airsoft field, that changed immediately.

The first event felt completely different from anything we had experienced before. Then came the second. Then the third. What started as a casual experience quickly became something much bigger — airsoft stopped being just something we wanted to try and became something we wanted to understand, improve at and take seriously.

That was the point when C.T.U.C. first began to exist — not yet as an official organisation, but as an idea. Three friends. One goal: to build a real team, improve together and eventually take part in events, MilSim operations and competitions across Serbia.

By 2023, the team had started taking airsoft much more seriously. A larger budget was gradually invested into replicas, tactical equipment, protective gear and communication systems — everything required to participate in more demanding events across Belgrade and beyond. At the same time, our knowledge of replicas, maintenance, upgrades, positioning, movement and organised team play grew rapidly.

In May 2023, C.T.U.C. was officially formed. What had started as three friends playing together became an organised team with a clear identity and a long-term goal. This was also the year of our first major expansion: we began accepting players who had already built a good reputation on the field, showed strong individual ability and — most importantly — had the potential to grow as part of a coordinated team. The focus was never only on individual skill; we wanted players who could communicate, adapt and respect others.

During 2023, C.T.U.C. also took part in its first MilSim event in Pančevo, an important step that exposed us to a completely different level of organised airsoft.

Throughout 2024, the team continued to grow. Although overall activity was more limited during certain periods, C.T.U.C. kept building its name and reputation within the Serbian airsoft community — appearing at MilSim events across Serbia, taking part in competitive events, and being present during the opening and testing of several new airsoft fields.

During this period our priorities became clearer. We wanted to be known not only for how we played, but for how we behaved. Fair play, respect, discipline and good relationships with other teams became an important part of the C.T.U.C. identity. The team kept learning from every event, every field and every opponent.

2025 became the most active year in the team’s history up to that point. The roster expanded significantly, which led to a more structured internal organisation: Team A, Team B and a recreational group were formed. This let competitive players train and operate in more organised formations while keeping space for members who preferred a more casual approach.

C.T.U.C. also became increasingly involved in developing the local scene. In partnership with a brother airsoft team, we helped establish our first field in the Belgrade area — a major step forward. We were no longer only participating in events; we were starting to contribute to the environments where those events were played. We also took part in the opening and testing of multiple fields, providing practical feedback on layout, gameplay flow, balance, engagement distances and safety. MilSim events, regular skirmishes and competitive appearances remained a major part of the year.

2026 brought another major stage of development. The team continued assisting with the opening of new airsoft fields across Serbia while expanding its own roster. From this growth emerged a strong competitive core of roughly ten players.

With higher ambitions came higher expectations. Casual attendance alone was no longer enough, so C.T.U.C. introduced mandatory weekly training sessions for its competitive members, focused on communication, movement, individual roles, reaction speed and overall team efficiency. Every player was expected to understand not only his own role, but how that role affected the rest of the team.

Competition became one of the main priorities of the year. Competitive airsoft events were becoming faster and more demanding, and the level of play was rising — so were we. Years of experience, equipment development, MilSim participation and field work had created a team that was no longer simply attending events. We were preparing specifically to compete.

From three friends stepping onto a field for the first time in 2022 to an organised competitive team with multiple squads, structured training and years of collective experience, C.T.U.C. has continued to evolve. But the original goal has never changed: improve, compete, and build something of our own — while remaining a team built around the friendships that started everything.

Now we are preparing for something much bigger. Something more ambitious. Something we believe has not yet been done in Serbia or the wider region.
